One thing have I desired,

Hums inside my head.

Singing out a melody,

To my heart it easily spreads.

One thing have I desired,

I will seek with heart and soul.

David knew this treasure,

Of peace that takes control.

Complacency cannot find it,

To behold, one must enter in.

The presence of the almighty,

Above all else, it will transcend.

There is beauty there surrounding,

Fading out the world’s place.

While inquiring in the temple,

All tomorrows disapate.

One thing have I desired,

Forever I will see.

The truth inside this wisdom,

The beauty of the Lord with me.

One thing have I desired of the the LORD, that will I seek after; That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4 KJV

This verse of the Bible is the whole thought of what I have written here, and I have written it before: https://preacherprose.com/knowing-god-is-all-that-matters/ It must be something I like to entertain in the month of August:)

It has been ringing in my heart and singing in my mind. One thing have I desired, David wrote with so much passion for the presence of God. During a season of trouble, he was remembering the power of inquiring and knowing the one who freed him from the chains of this world. David knew to dwell there was to escape to a place of peace, flowing like a river in his soul. No matter his circumstances, David found solace in the house of the Lord.

Dwelling

God dwells with us in everything that we walk through when we are spending time dwelling with Him in His presence. He invites us in, so that we can invite Him in- to EVERYTHING. Life can just be a drag sometimes, with the weights of all we carry walking through it. God invites us into His presence to dwell and be lifted above it all. If we inquire of Him, we will behold His beauty! I pray we all will find the desire of ONE THING that will take us to a place of refuge and peace. May we seek it above all else and dwell in the beauty of the lord. Solace is there.
