The state of being happy,
The mind and body does not produce.
It all weighs on reflection,
Of the souls directed truth.
Faith drives home the message,
You chose the truth you will believe.
It must connect within your conscience,
Where happiness cannot be deceived.
The conscience depends on Faith,
To believe correctly what is true.
It must reflect God’s nature,
A false narrative, conscience sees right through.
Happiness is subjective,
To the right action of moral depth.
A life’s behavior will reflect upon,
The beliefs their heart has kept.
The soul reflecting God,
His truth of righteousness and love.
Reflects a treasure found,
In the depths of happiness thereof.
“It’s important to believe ‘right’,
And not just to be sincere”. ~CM Ward
Clinging to unrighteousness,
Invites self disillusions to appear.
Jesus Christ aligns us,
With a moral compass which life agrees.
Pure happiness is reflected,
In a Godward soul, faith led there to believe.

Author’s Look~
This piece was written from the writings of CM Ward which were cultivated for his Revivaltime Pulpit (also the name of the book) radio program back in the days of yesteryear when such things were the avenue used to proclaim Jesus name across the airways. There was a chapter in this book addressing Happiness, something every human being craves and is in need of finding; for it is the balance to our lows, and the esculator to our highs. For some though, it can be a mirage, lost in the muck and mire of the world they live in. They think they see it, but it never materializes.
The Quest
The search for Happiness is a quest, and some find it without even being intentional about it, while others wreck themselves starving from the absence of it. I found the things that CM Ward had to say, very fascinating and true concerning the search that every soul is need of. He explained that “happiness is a result of a right action of the moral powers. Whatever is right and good will make me happy. Jesus, who taught by doing was the ultimate example, loving his enemies and doing good wherever He went. Everything about Him is right and good. God chose faith to interlock our lives with Jesus and through Him, make us happy”. ~CM Ward
Believe Right
Ward emphasized in his book how important it is to believe “right” and not just be sincere in what you believe.
Proverbs 6:27 (KJV). . . Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
It is very important to have faith and believe in the right thing. Faith in God will produce happiness, but you have to believe- have faith in what is right and good. It’s important because your life will reflect what you believe. It will direct your thoughts and actions, and a life lived for Jesus will align you with the moral constitution that brings your life into agreement. Right living and right loving produce happiness, for you are turned Godward and not Godless. Happiness is the offspring of righteousness and benevolence. ~ CM Ward
Agreement
“When we come into agreement with God, we will know happiness. Rebellion damns us by the same authority” ~CM Ward, as we will be aquatinted with unhappiness, trying to do it our own way.
Mark 16:6 (KJV). . .He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Reflection
“Happiness must reflect the character of righteousness and goodness. It is the result of a right action of the moral powers. Whatever is right and good will make me happy. Happiness is neither a physical or intellectual production. It is the reflection of the soul, and the soul is a reflection of God.” ~ CM Ward
I hope you have enjoyed these excerpts from CM Ward’s book Revivaltime Pulpit, and may this inspiration sink into your thoughts to become actions of faith and reflections of God, where true happiness is found.
