There is a great healing power,

In the vibrant rays of the sun.

Each one holds restoration,

When with intention one does come.

It lifts the mood and mind,

When basking in its arms.

The warmth it can deliver,

Lures you into its happy charm.

When blinded by its glory,

No shadows can descend.

Face toward its beauty,

The sun’s brilliant light extends.

So is the Son that saves us,

Transforming what was before.

Knowing a heart that encounters,

His light will heal and restore.

This never ending glory,

Brilliantly glistening with His love,

Melting away harsh coldness,

Life struggles live among.

Darkness is disrupted,

Fear and pain will disappear.

Supernatural rays bright shining,

Deep within to persevere.

Let the Son’s ministering power,

Soak your tired and weary soul,

Turn your face to Jesus,

Ask His help in mercy shown.

Before you get your sunscreen out, I want you to stop and remember all of the good things the sun provides for us. Your face to the sun brings warmth, light, mental and physical health, which are all mighty factors we need to bring more life and restoration into our beings. We need the sun to survive, and then there are days we just want to see it, to brighten our day. It’s good at that too.

Face to the Son

So is the Son who saves us from our messed up life of sin. His light shines bright, chasing away the darkness that tries to envelope us. Darkness cannot exist in light. It’s impossible. When we turn our face towards Jesus, His light will do its work of healing and restoring, as it chases away the dark shadows we fear.

I wrote this after listening to a message preached by Rev. Victor Jackson on his podcast, Bible Centered with Victor Jackson. This particular episode is entitled, “The Horse and the Healer”: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/bible-centered-with-victor-jackson/id1669301713?i=1000614348889

In this podcast, Rev. Jackson was telling a story about Alexander the Great and a wild horse that he was able to calm by steering his face towards the sun, which pushed away his shadow that was scaring him. As long as they walked towards the sun, the horse was calm because the scary shadow was gone. In this story he reminds us that turning our face to the SON will shine a powerful light into our darkened soul that can save and redeem us. All we have to do is ask for HELP! Taking that powerful ask, can turn everything around, as the light of glory comes washing in, pushing out the darkness we fear.

“Your answer to your deliverance is to turn your face towards the Son, the Son of God”~ Victor Jackson

I Peter 2:9-10 (KJV). . . But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: (10)Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

What a great testimony of the power of the Son. If we will humbly turn our face to Jesus and ask for help, He will be there to shine His light of warmth, healing and love into our souls.

Healing is in the power of the Son!
