God’s grace came down to find us,

Just exactly where we were.

Unconcerned with our mess or weakness,

His love covered all we had incurred.

In spite of the Greatness He was capable of,

His Powerful works and Almighty ways.

Jesus proved the passion of His heartbeat,

For it was in serving, where He stayed.

He came and He showed us,

There was more to try to hear.

Than the voice of self exclaiming,

Us . . .to our own ears.

Always looking to the needs before Him,

Daily were the works of His hands.

He never stopped in ministering,

To the pleas of mortal man.

Jesus wasn’t seeking to receive,

There was nothing man could do.

For Him the reward and treasure,

Was a heart enlightened and renewed.

So was our example,

Of Everday’s chance to minister.

Being mindful of our purpose,

That we were truly saved to serve.

Author’s Look~

After extensive searching, I have to admit that I don’t know where the inspiration of this message came from. I found this poem which I previously had written in my notebook, with no other notes surrounding it. I have my suspicions:), but I will leave that for now. If and when I find it, adjustments will be made.

Lack of inspo did not leave me to abandon this piece, as the message of it was ringing in my heart this week. Being saved is a big deal! Jesus came to take our place and to rescue us from our own mess. Yet, while He was here, He went about the business of showing us the drive of His heart in SERVING.

No matter where you read in the Bible of Jesus’ time here on Earth, you will find Him serving. He was fulfilling His rescue mission, all the while, giving example after example of just what it was He wanted us to do with our time here as well.

Philippines 2:4 (KJV) . . .Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Jesus gave it all and showed us all how to follow. The directions were simple: Look outside ourselves and see where we can serve. He saved us to serve OTHERS!
