Giving ourselves the gift of realizing,
What is rawly honest in our life.
Allows intentional reflecting,
That take us to a secret place.
Inside there is a hidden treaure,
So long buried underneath.
That’s where thoughts begin to surface,
We haven’t allowed the time or space.
The world runs so chaotically,
On opinions echoing sound.
Caught in a flow the carries swift,
It’s easy to let go.
Reactive moments lead us adrift,
Daily motions get us by.
No time is taken for thoughtfulness,
Just surviving in the flow.
To be grounded and sure rooted,
Requires a pause to look inside.
Internal motivations are the markers,
Guiding the directing of our goals.
What is my intention?
Where do I seek a guiding hand?
I stop, I breath, heart listening,
It’s in THIS moment my heart knows.
My rock, my love, and strong tower,
Strong anchor in life storms.
Who doesn’t run on carelessly,
With the platforms this world shows.
There in is where my heart doth dwell,
Undefiled in sweetened peace.
Reflection sends me calm’s warm touch,
Resting in God’s divine control.
Take a moment for yourself,
What marks your harried days?
Don’t allow trumpeting voices to steal,
The peace your heart still knows.

Are you realizing that you are just surviving in the flow today? As everything else I write, this comes from a heart of experience that does not lack the melancholy the current of life can pull us into. Too easily we can find ourselves in a daily routine of just go and react, while never gaining the time to BE. For it is in those moments that we can reconnect with ourselves and direct our paths toward the true version of ourselves that we are striving to be. Getting carried away, adrift in everyone else’s agendas, can take us so far from our own shore, we no longer recognize our own heart.
Realizing Peace
Peace in life comes from being sure of our foundation. That is what is lost so quickly when the voices around us are speaking too loudly, and all at once. Social media has turned up the volume with a bombardment of platforms and messages about every topic possible. Our fast paced life styles keep us running and reacting, when at last there is a moment to rest, we find ourselves zoned out to social media entertainment and its messages. Again, engaging and not realizing what is the true center of who we are and the desired goals that stem from that.
Realizing Foundation
God is the true foundation of anything that is going to last.
My hope is built on nothing less,
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ the solid rock I stand,

Many of us recognize this old hymn and the truth of its message has never been more true. Let everything that is truly you begin with a core that looks to God. He is in control of EVERYTHING, and when we will allow it to be ackowledged, we can let go of false grasps that wreck our calm respect of that.
Realizing God’s Word
Isaiah 26:3 (KJV). . . Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee.
Step out of the chaotic flow today and give yourself the gift of peace found in intentional reflection on who and what the solid rock and foundation of your life is. Enjoy the treasure that you find there. Only God can bring you to the most authentic version of yourself.
