The times we are in, we don’t get to choose,

God knows the way, we trust to be true.

How we react, a choice given to make.

The decision reveals, what all is at stake.

Peace of mind, inside our heart and soul,

Calm in the storm, circumstances cannot troll.

Worry and doubt is where some may bow,

Seeking control not humanly allowed.

There is talk of the times, everywhere that we turn.

The chatter is loud, it fills our heads.

Locked in a prison, where these conversations will lead.

To the anxiety and darkness, constant talking can bleed.

Over and over, then repeat,

Talkers still searching,

For hope to believe.

Discussing and debating,

With fear leading in command.

Repeating and reviewing,

Difficult times to understand.

Our pure mind must be stirred up,

To face the future without dread.

Remembrance of our Eternal home,

To drive discussions there instead.

Hope must rest in faith,

Of things not seen but only told.

God still knows the way to peace,

Resting in the Anchor of our soul.

Where are you Anchored today? Where is it that your peace lies, when it is no secret that our world has gone off of the rails. The thoughts, beliefs and actions that are accepted into our society stir up a lot of discussion which everyone has an opinion on.

Whether it’s social media or the news, talk is constant about the issues all around us, and for many, it robs their peace of mind. This excessive uproar all around does not settles one’s heart and continuous bickering only increases divides.

Anchored

There is an Anchor that holds through all of it, and that Anchor is Jesus Christ. He has given us hope for the future in our Eternal Home with Him. He gives peace when there is trouble on every side, and we can rest in Him when the storm rages around us. Life is not a trial to endure on our own but a beautiful chance to live in peace, holding the hand of the Anchor to our soul, while trusting Him throughout the journey that we travel.

A Choice

We don’t get to choose the situations that surrounds us, but we do get to choose how we react to those situations. We don’t have to wring our hands in despair or let fear steal our peace. Hope can rise and faith ignite through the Word of God and a relationship with Him. THAT is where discussions need to be lead for healing. This world is not our home, and we know that the turmoil here will one day pass away; therefore, seek the comfort of eternity with the one and only God who created it. There is life beyond the here and now, and it is The Life Everlasting.

Our deliverer is coming. I pray that what you have read today reminds you to LOOK UP, for your redemption draweth nigh.
