My hope is built on nothing less*

Than Jesus Blood and Righteousness*

I dare not trust the sweetest frame*

But wholly trust in Jesus’ name*

This hymn brings forth in an exalting way,

a truth that we hold so dear.

That it’s God’s mighty hand we hold for peace,

In hard times we face of trouble and fear.

The brunt force of our daily environment,

Attacks us from every side.

Stirring up all of the worry,

That wants to plague our human minds.

This battlefield, the enemy loves,

It’s in the mind where he can steal our joy.

If we can be made to feel that we are victims,

Of our circumstances trying to destroy.

We have to guard our hearts and minds,

Knowing what’s inside.

Is safe from all offenses,

Happening on the hostile world outside.

The storm can blow around us,

And yet, complete peace can settle in.

Our testimony reminds us,

God is GREATER than what we’re in.

The word of our testimony will encourage,

And give us the power to overcome.

Peace is a state of being,

Knowing that with Jesus, the battle is won.

You will never have to go looking for Goliath,

He’ll be the biggest and loudest thing that you see.

When standing in your valley,

Look up higher -into the heavenlies.

That’s where your help comes from,

And, that’s all that David could see,

An opportunity for God to be God,

And show forth His astounding VICTORY!

Remember who you are serving,

His great and powerful Hand.

There is NOTHING He can’t conquor,

And it’s in that hope that peace will stand.

The deciples tried to wake Jesus,

To be the ship’s captain was their plea.

Not really having understanding,

That he was the captain of the sea.

Just a word was spoken,

And Jesus’ power did abound,

When He speaks to a situation,

You can count on it turning around.

PEACE IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE,

When we put our faith and trust in God.

Circumstances don’t determine,

Our level of peace that can be found.

On Christ the Solid Rock I stand,*

All other ground is sinking sand.*

Peace I leave with you, Jesus said,

Find strength in His loving plan,

As you hold on to His guiding HAND.

Rev. Tes Stewart preached this message to our church congregation about Peace that comes from God. He spoke such encouraging words reminding us that Peace is not an idea, emotion or thought. It is a state of being, that brings us freedom from disturbance and strife.

We all know this world is full of strife from many things that try to daily weigh on our hearts and minds. It is in that battlefield of the mind, that we have to remember who’s we are and guard our hearts.

The enemy wants our minds to believe that we are a victim of our circumstances.

He knows that if we lose our peace, we also lose our ability to be effective for the kingdom of God.

We can’t be what God has called us to be, if we are wrapped up in worry and emotion of what comes at us from the environment surrounding us.

Rev. Stewart reminded us how we take shelter from a physical storm. We go inside, shut the door and feel the difference. The winds are swirling on the outside, while inside there is a calm.

Peace we get from God is a blessed assurance on the inside, when surrounded by chaos on the outside. It’s the peace that passeth undertstanding.

Phillipians 4:7 . . .And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

PEACE IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE!

We were admonished to disarm the enemy, as he has no control of what is happening on the inside.

We control our mind, and what we want to dwell on. It is in that battlefield that we have to stand tall with feet shod with the gosple of peace.

We are overcomes by the WORD of our testimony. Testify today! Remind yourself today! We are overcomers through the power of Jesus Christ!

You do not have to walk in fear and worry. No matter what the headlines, social media, or your friends and neighbors want to say.

It is a hostile environment that we live in, and as the storm swirls around our heads, PEACE IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE through Jesus Christ.

We have that promise from God in his Word, and He ALWAYS keeps His promises!

John 14:27 . . .Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

PEACE IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE!
