Goodnight sorrow,

Goodnight Fear,

Goodnight Lonely,

No more tears.

Goodnight Sickness,

Goodnight Grief,

Goodnight Heartache,

Depression released.

A new day approaches,

On the horizon I see.

Morning is coming,

Earth’s chains breaking free.

Celestial air,

Filling my lungs.

The presence of God,

Eternity’s begun.

Author’s Look~

This week I attended the funeral of a precious saint of God, Sis. Billie Grace Savoie, and there I was reminded, that it’s morning time for her. What I have written is a remix of the words spoken by Rev. Ron Becton, telling of the new day that Sis. Savoie had just begun. She traveled a good long journey here on Earth, and at 91, had finished her race. She bade goodnight to all that binds up here on Earth, for her eternal morning in Glory had come.

Reflecting

It’s hard to sit in a service like that and not reflect. As we reflect on the life of the one we are saying good-bye to, we often turn inward to examine. What is my life, and am I living it well? What will they say of me when my time comes? More importantly, will my life lived, be pleasing to God? There is no evaluation quite like that of the heart and soul, which leads us to the true direction that our thoughts and actions should go.

Realizing

This world is not our home is the reminder we receive, and there is great joy in that thought. The trappings of this Earth can be a tremendous burden to carry, but they too, are temporary. We will bid them Goodnight for the morning comes. A new day full of all the promise of eternity awaits. As Bro. Savoie would say,”Glory!”

Psalm 30:5 (KJV) . . . .weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning

It’s Morning Time!

In Loving Memory

  1. 🎵I’m going to city, where there be no more nights… I’m going to city, where Jesus is the light… the trumpets going to sound, and I’ll be called away…I’m going to a city someday 🎶
What comfort to know Jesus is will be waiting on the other side ♥️♥️
