Wings are what hold you,
They carry you way up high.
When you feel you’re just getting by.
They are soft; they’re kind and protective,
They take you to worlds unknown.
To peace and love and kindness,
To others you have shown.
Wings are there to guide you,
To lift you when you’re down.
To help you reach out to others,
And share the blessings you have found.
All wings have to be lifted,
And guided by the wind.
The source that’s found in prayer,
This power that God will send.
Set your wings on His mercy,
Let them be guided by His love.
Spread your wings and fly with His will,
Through prayer and strength from above.

Author’s Look ~
The highs and lows of life require a little assistance.
Some days we feel on top, and use that momentum to reach out to someone who’s not. Quickly the roles can reverse, and we may find ourselves looking for that soft lift to undergird us. That smile, that kind word, that helping hand all have the power to lift a low soul- high. We all hold the power of the wings. It is a gift that God gives to us for one another.
He is the maker of the wings, so He is the guider as well.
When we are connected to God, through a prayerful relationship, we can hear the whispers to our soul showing the way, and using the gift He has given in the most powerful way necessary.
Ask God today, to show you the one that you can lift up. You never know the day, that you will need the same. This world is a tough place to live in.
