The message we speak, Is not in the words we say,

But in the voice we lend to Love.

The world’s not seeking, for more noise in the air,

Only to know what a heart is made of.

The POWER of Love, supersedes all tongues,

Of elegant speech and spiritual blend.

Love’s authentic touch, speaks a symphonic word,

Even deafened ears can apprehend.

If we want God’s message, to encompass the heart.

Love has to lead the end.

When we daily serve, making it’s message heard,

We speak God’s Word that then transcends.

Author’s Look~

There is no greater place to look for inspiration than in the Word of God, and that is my source for this one. It’s true what my teachers taught me so many years ago in elementary school, when both at church and at the Christian school I attended, they emphasized the importance of memorizing as much of the Bible as we could. I heard them say time and again, that it will be buried there in my heart like a treasure that will come forth in times that I don’t even expect it.

Such a time occurred a few weeks ago when I was feeling ill and could not sleep. As I lay there in my misery, trying rest my mind and find sleep, I began to hear a Bible verse in my head out of nowhere. It was this . .

I Corintians 13:1 (KJV) . . .Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. [CHARITY = LOVE]

Since I was not even thinking about the Bible right then, even I could catch on that God was talking to me. The next thoughts that came were a round of questions. . .what? why are you saying this to me? Am I doing that?

I didn’t get all of the answers right then, but the verse rested with me and I couldn’t get away from it into the next day. I knew God was bringing home the core of His message to my heart for remembering.

Don’t get so carried away, that your message doesn’t start first with Love. And that is so easy to do . . .

Many times you are so inspired that you want to share and tell the Good News of salvation to others. You want them to know the forgiveness and peace that you live in, and you want them to know what a life lived for Christ is really like. So you talk/preach/ hammer away at it, trying to have the right words, in just the right time, and be sensitive to the very one open to it. It can get frustrating when others don’t respond the way that you thought they would. What’s wrong?!! What’s missing?

Some will never be won with a word spoken with your mouth, but one spoken with your actions. Too many times you can get zeroed in on the “sermon” and forget the basic core of the message . . . God wants you to LOVE.

That sounds so lovely and flowery . . . piece of cake, right? Sometimes, yes. Other times, not quite. When those around you can see in both the words you say and the actions that you keep, that the LOVE of God lives inside of you, THAT is when they will want to hear the Good News that brought you to that place. That is when they will want what you have.

God reminded me though His Word that night, and I wanted to share it with you, in case you may have gotten off course in your well meaning mission. Take a minute today and really think about the way you show Love. Can your skills be honed a little? Does change inside of you need to take place? Take it all to God and let Him help you settle it. He’s got a lot of Love to pour out on you to share with your world.

SPEAK LOVE!
