Raptured forever in God’s love.

My covering is complete.

God’s leading, guiding and holding,

While His protecting and providing never cease.

Called out of utter darkness,

And slavery of this world.

I can trust the One who covers,

When life’s trappings try to furl.

I need not to be claimed by worry,

Into His deep waters I will go,

Lovingkindness will cover me by day,

And in the night, God’s song, I will know.

Author’s Look~

God gave a visible sign of Covering to His people both day and night for their entire journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. He never left them, and He changed the covering to fit their needs. A cloud to shade them from the heat during the day and fire to give warmth at night.

Exodus 40:38 (KJV). . . For the cloud of the lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

Beautiful Covering

God knows our needs before we ask or can even think of what they are. He covers His people in the most complete and beautiful ways. On our journey to the Promised Land, we don’t walk alone. There He is, every step of the way- leading, guiding, holding, protecting and providing. . . .Covering.

Life here can get tricky and sometimes, down right difficult, but the journey holds a purpose- to walk it well on our way to our eternal reward. We have to trust the process, no matter what we face, and always be encourage that we have a beautiful covering all along the way. We are His children and He watches over us.

No one or nothing else can cover like God can. When He calls us out of darkness and the slavery of this world, we can trust Him to cover in the making; a new creature in Christ. He doesn’t call us to places He doesn’t walk along with us. We are not alone or left to our own devices.

Life Covered

Is God the God of your life? When you put Him in that place, you will know the joy of His covering. When you have surrendered your life to Him, to love and serve Him with your days, those days are known by His covering hand. Deep calleth unto deep, and God has places He wants to lead us that we would never know outside of His guidance. When we decide to take those steps, no waves or billows can overcome, for our life is covered.

Psalm 42: 7-8 (KJV). . . Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. (8) Yet the Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

God’s loving hand is over us, and if we lean into His ways and wisdom, we will see great things under that covering! We can wade out into His deep waters with assurance that He is there, covering us. We won’t drown, but will know his lovingkindness in the daytime and His song in the night.
