There is SO MUCH that I am Thankful for,

God’s blessings overflow.

Merciful and Bountiful,

His Hand, I’ve always known.

He has always been a presence,

I have felt with guiding Love.

That moved and walked beside me,

Proving He is more than just enough.

Watching and protecting,

Showing right from wrong.

He’s let me feel His constant Hand,

Leading tenderly along.

His patience and forgiveness,

I have felt I needed most.

He never holds against me,

My human heart’s unending host.

The Mightiness of His Glory,

The Sweetness of His Peace,

The Tenderness of His Love,

In His presence is released.

So much that I am THANKFUL for,

But This, I hold most dear,

The Hand of God, His Touch, His Love,

His Presence. . . . always near.

Author’s Look~

I found this piece in notes that I had written on Thanksgiving Day 2011.

Thing is, I could have written it any year, because it has been my heartbeat for as long as I can remember. I can truly say that this is something, I have always known-the Hand of God. 3yrs. old is the earliest memory. I didn’t know what it was then, but as it continued in my life, I soon realized that it was God letting me feel Him near. His spirit and presence always there- ministering, guiding, loving. I knew the truth of, He is as close as the mention of His name. I knew the secret place of God- in His presence, and I depended on it daily.

The trials of life can throw some hard stuff on us sometimes. We all know it, but I hope to remind someone today, that you are not alone. God is with you-everyday and everywhere. He really is as close as the mention of his name. Say that name today . . .JESUS, and watch the atmosphere change. Invite the King of Kings into your space and see the power of his presence.

I have had to remind myself at times of this TRUTH, and every Thanksgiving, it is at the top of my list of things that I am thankful for. I can’t imagine life on Earth and surviving it, without God and His sweet presence. I am SO VERY THANKFUL!!!

Psalm 116: 17 (KJV) . . . I will offer to thee the sacrifice of Thanksgiving, and I will call upon the name of the Lord.

David knew the secret place and how sweet it is to dwell there . . .Find peace in His presence today.
