In the beginning, there was no struggle,

All was provided so generously.

Only one thing was told not to venture,

And it became the desire to meet.

God made mankind for love and relation,

In a harmonious plan to be.

He gave them the freedom, not just to love Him,

But to CHOOSE to love Him, intently.

The divider entered and whispered his lies,

That stroked the heart of Eve.

She convinced Adam of something much greater,

Doubt allowed their hearts to be deceived.

Discipline was present, but never a distance,

God did provide all that they had need.

They had the freedom to make all the right choices,

And the same freedom to choose a wrong deed.

God’s love was always there, always the same,

He NEVER changes in His word.

He saved mankind from this destructive course,

For this relationship to preserve.

If you feel a distance far from God,

Check inside for what has changed.

He’s still right there, just the same

It’s our hearts that move away.

Never doubt the LOVE of God,

That prevails beyond great measure.

He’s NEVER changing. He’s just the Same.

Yesterday, Today and Forever.

Author’s Look~

This was written after listening to a Christian Education lesson given to the adult class, taught by Rev. Bob McGrey. He did a fantastic job of reminding us that we serve a God who is unchanging. We can count on Him no matter what!

Hebrews 1:8 (KJV) . . .Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

God created this world, and then He created mankind to walk in a beautiful relationship with Him, within this beautiful place He had made. Because He wanted the relationship to be of a reciprocal nature, He created mankind to have a choice within the boundaries of this relationship. Choose to love, choose to obey, choose not to; it was all based on choice. A wrong choice was quickly made, and a big mess for man was created, and the enemy felt he had scored. He had come to divide God and man so that he might take away the very thing that he could no longer have.

Redemption

But God wouldn’t leave us there. His love was too great, and so He came to Earth to redeem the bondage created, and bridge the gap that tried to separate us. Unity, communion and relationship was what He wanted all along, and so He paid the price that would bring us back.

There are times in our lives that we may feel a distance from God. There might be a space and an emotional cry to ask God where He is at? We may pull away from him in our frustrations, hurt and anger over situations we have to walk through. He understands all of that, and so He patiently waits. He’s right there, all along, just waiting for us to come back. So many times we ask- Where are you God? and He responds Right here, where I’ve always been. It was us who had moved, not Him, and He waits with open arms to receive us once again and at any time.

Romans 8:38-39 (KJV) . . . For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities nor powers, not things present, nor things to come, (39) nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

GOD’S LOVE STAYS THE SAME!!!

You said that you won’t forsake me,
    You walk beside me,
