The wind bloweth where it listeth,

On any given day.

Just going where it pleases,

Touching whom it may.

Nicodemus wanted to understand this,

As being Spirit born was explained.

Jesus expounded on all of the mystery,

In the wind’s characteristic fame.

You won’t be able to predict it,

Or direct it’s dancing course.

But, you will never be left undecided,

When you’ve known it’s tender source.

God ministers in the wind,

He works within its touch.

He’s masterful in His ways,

Of redeeming little or much.

You can’t escape the wind,

There is no where it will not be.

It bloweth where it listeth,

In every place we find our being.

We are all in need of a touch,

Of the Holy Spirit’s wind across our soul.

Look up to the Master,

He waits His Winds to blow.

I heard a message preached by Rev. Jeremy Moore while visiting my parent’s church in KY. He preached an insightful word regarding the Wind of God’s power and His desire to touch us anywhere and anytime.

He began with the famous passage in John 3, where Nicodemus, the Jewish ruler, came under the cover of night to meet with Jesus. He was curious, but could not be caught associating with the one that was being accused by his fellow religious leaders. Jesus welcomed him, no matter how he came and answered his question of being born of the spirit with an illustration of the wind.

John 3:8 (KJV) . . .The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but cans’t not tell whence it cometh or wither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

God blows His Wind of salvation, healing, provision, comfort . . . you name it, wherever the need exist. There is no place that the Wind cannot find you . . in absolutely any place that you are. What is it that you seek today? What is your heart’s need? There is a longing for what is missing. Is it God’s Holy Spirit? Is it a touch of provision or confirmation? Comfort or companionship and deeper walk with Him? The Holy Ghost will find you wherever you are. Step in to the wind and let it sweep over your heart and soul.

Rev. Moore referenced the fact that there are some things we can’t explain, but we have to experience them. So many of us are like Nicodemus in that we want to try to save ourselves by what we learned and know from the past. We must be open to what God has for us in the moment He is moving. He stated that there is a Wind that is trying to blow out of us, self righteousness. And, there is a Wind that will try to blow into you a holy grace and blow into you a power, a love and mercy that can only come from God.

The mystery of the wind. . . no one can explain it, but you can always feels it when it is at work. God wants to blow a Wind that can touch and change a heart and mind, forever. It can turn a situation around completely.

John 3:5-7 (KJV) . . . Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. *6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. *7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Are you born of the water and of the spirit, or are you just born of the flesh? Let the Wind of God find you in your need, and change your life forever. The wind blows where it wants to. Receive it’s beautiful touch today.

BE BORN AGAIN!
