The clouds of worry, the clouds of doubt,
They rise in life’s tempered times.
All of the information seems to point,
To the storm these clouds define.
Daily, everywhere that we turn,
Continuous information seems to flow.
Overloading our hearts and minds
Inviting fear to take a blow.
But in that same horizon,
There are more clouds to focus on.
Clouds of hope and clouds of faith,
That God’s peace rest majestically on.
It’s in those clouds we remind ourselves,
That God is in control!
When the spriitual speaks to the physical,
It demands a response to show.
Elijah wasn’t disappointed,
The six times the clouds weren’t seen.
He knew the physical never told the spiritual,
The time that it should convene.
I hear the sound of abundance of rain,
His tongue held the real truth of the day.
The power of life and death lives there,
To speak over information’s dismay.
Naaman came up six times unclean,
Going back increases our faith.
Every encounter with God’s magnitude,
Strengthens resolve to be patient and wait.
Cut down that hedge that is trapping you thoughts,
And remain in balance with God’s Word.
Bring every thought to the obedience of Christ,
He’s bigger than troubles you’ve heard.
Clouds of doubt and clouds of faith,
Will be in the same life sky.
God works in the balancing of the clouds that you face,
And you can trust what His balance defines.

Author’s Look~
This was written from notes taken while listening to Rev. Roy Duke preach a sermon by the same title. Rev. Duke wanted us to remember in whom our trust lies. There are a lot of disturbing pieces of information bombarding us every day. It can feel like missiles coming at us, attacking our mind and leaving discouragement in it’s path.
Look up- to where your help comes from! We serve a God who is bigger than EVERYTHING here on this Earth. Be not disturbed. Don’t be afraid. Let not your heart be troubled. . . all the things that Jesus told us.
God has sent us peace and confidence in Him that reminds us that He is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all the we could ask or think . . (Ephesians 3:20)
This is a troubled world. We live in it. God is an almighty God! We trust Him. The clouds of worry and the clouds of faith can live in the same atmosphere. But God . . . . is a God who balances the clouds.
Job 37:16 (KJV) . . .Dost thou know the balancing of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
God knows what He is doing, and we have to put our trust in that. Cut down the hedge that has trapped your thoughts in worry and discouragement. Let real peace flow through your soul, trusting God’s timing and rhythm of the clouds He is balancing in your life.
Don’t forget who you serve and the might of His loving hands.
Psalm 20:7 (ESV) . . . Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
YOU CAN TRUST HIM TO BALANCE THE CLOUDS!
Life is always throwing a curve ball at us but I know that God is in control and I trust him to bring us through it. God is so good and he is able to wipe away worry and doubt thank you for the that reminder!!
Yes- and that is such a sweet peace to hold.
