Your love is a meadow,
My heart escapes to.
Your hands do so much,
Of what my mouth asks of you.
Your ear is always bent to,
My cry that may come.
Your legs swiftly run to,
What my own have undone.
Your mind holds the answers,
Life’s taught you through the years.
Your tongue shares the blessings,
That push away my fears.
Your arms hold me gently,
Where your heart knows no bounds.
My soul knows the treasure,
In my life that I have found.
Mom, you are that meadow,
That escape and beck and call.
That steady guiding treasure,
And, enduring love above it all.
I’m so thankful for that blessing,
It made me who I am.
For a soul loved well can give back,
To Other’s opened hands.

The power of a Mother’s love. There’s not a lot of things on this Earth quite like it. It can move the weary to greatness, and stir the most hardened soul. It can comfort, correct, abide, direct, and it seems at times to be in an endless supply.
MOM. Just the word itself can send a senes of warmth all though your heart. You came from her, and she has been there since the beginning of your life’s story. She knows the ups and downs, the good and the bad, all the ends and outs . . . and yet, she is still in your corner loving you and reaching out to the needs you might have.
Mother’s who loved well, (not perfectly as none of those exist:), are a true gift from God and reflect the love that His word describes for us in I Corinthians:
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. (5)It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; (6) It does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices with truth. (7)Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes in all things. (8)Love never ends . . . .
I Corinthians 13:4-8 (ESV)
My Mom is one to celebrate, and I will ALWAYS be thankful for that gift in my life. She has always been a strength to sustain when life felt hard, and a love to give when it was needed. She is full of the gifts of motherhood, and she has poured that out on us, as children and adults. I celebrate her today! Thank you Mom for your steady, undying love. It has made all of the difference!
There is a source to the superpower of a Mother’s touch-sacrificial, unconditional love.
May you feel the power of it today!!!
