In the image of our God,
We were all created to be.
Absent of the greatness,
Embodied in HIS capabilities.
God is the one who created,
This magnificent world He holds in His HANDS.
Ours weren’t meant to carry,
The enormous weight this world demands.
Advanced communicaton brings man closer,
Now, community has no bounds.
Future, past and present,
Demanding your attention to surround.
The magnitude becomes heavy,
For this was not our ordained design.
Continuous conversations will always,
Invade life’s essential peace of mind.
We cannot be deeply connected with all
No matter how hard we try.
Intentional focus will give direction to
Those we THEN need to stand by.
Let go of embracing all at once,
Know the frame you are made of.
Your heart will reveal true purpose in,

Author’s Look~
You may have heard the phrase. ..”they look as if they are carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders” being used when someone seems stressed and over loaded in life. That phrase is never more true than in the world we live in today. Because of modern technology, we can very easily check out “all the things”, ALL over the world, and we do!
We hear the pleas and cries of so many, as well as the soap box testimonials, instructions, opinions, information, and just conversations of everyone who wants a say, both in our reality world and the virtual one we enjoy. That’s a lot. A lot a lot. And, it’s not just the hearing, but the action it triggers us to take. We move on things and get involved, which is an AMAZING when done in the right place and at the right time. Something good can quickly become bad if we try to spread it out so far and thin, that it looses its substance. A watered down relationship can wreak its own havoc.
Proverbs 18:24 (ESV). . . A man of many companions, may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Community
All of us hold the capability to be in community and affect those we are connected to. We have a rich layer of heart and soul to share and be there in the ways that are needed for that community. That layer is only so thick, and when it gets spread too wide, it looses its substance, and is not as effective. Our good intentions can loose their power, while depleting us of anything more to give out.
As we move through life, and build relationships with those around us, we were not made to continuously pile it on and stay equally connected with those in the past, present, and those future, who we are scoping out on the internet. There is an ebb and flow that we must follow, and as our connections may always stay, there are seasons with some to change. One from the past may even resurface, but then something current has to lessen, at least for a season.
Do Not be Troubled
Our hands were not meant to carry all of what technology has allowed us to be connected to. Only God can hold the whole world in His hands, and in that peace we can walk. When there is troubling news which was not meant for our hands, but our heart is stirred, we can take it to Him. Prayer is powerful! He knows how to craft and create with the hands who are able to help in those circumstances, and our peace Has to trust in Him. Then there are the moments that we are the hands, and He speaks to us to move, knowing this is our moment to give out with what He has equipped us to give.
How We Can Help
What we have to offer, is curated in the moments when we step away from all of the noise and listen to the story inside of us, to feed it what it needs. Spend time with God, and let Him minister to the heart He created and wants to use, knowing we have to take care of our own physical and mental being before we can aid another. If we spend all of our time trying to communicate and assist with all whom we have ever known, while seeking those we would like to know. . . we will be depleted of who we are, and who we want to be for others.
God created us for community. We were not meant to live unto ourselves, but we have to know our limits and work effectively within them to be our best selves and make a difference for those who walk into our paths. We need one another, but not everyone at once. Be intentional with who is purposed for your hands to hold and love. One by one, we can all make a difference, and the whole world can be reached.
