Our Daily’s filled with moving,
Where we sprinkle all around.
The substances we carry,
From inside our heart is found.
A season that’s well given,
With the salt that it provides.
Improves the atmosphere surrounding,
For the souls whose passing by.
Spirits chasing randomly,
Leaves a void the soul can feel.
Empty of the saltiness,
Where peace can be revealed.
Our substance must be flavored,
With just the right measure God provides,
Seasoned in His presence,
Where salt and light always abides.
This world’s in need of righteousness,
Seeking substance that is true.
A salt to heal and salvation to find,
Inside Your Love of God they view.

Words of Jesus
Matthew 5:13- 16 (NIV). . .You are the salt of the earth. But, if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. (14) You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (15) Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. (16) In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Influencers
Jesus made it very clear what our roles are as believers, and there is expectation laid at our feet to further the kingdom of God. He wants us to do what so many in the culture are clamoring to do today, and that is to INFLUENCE. Social Media is full of influencers making career out of doing just that. Persuading, talking us into what they are selling literally or figuratively. God wants us to be INFLUENCERS for His kingdom! His desire is for us is to present life with Him and bring His “flavor” to a very lost, hurt and dying world. Salt seasons the food like nothing else, and God has instilled that power within us to be the salt of the earth.
We touch the lives of people daily just in moving and breathing, and we are sprinkling out all around us, what fills us inside. We need our substance to be seasoned in God’s presence, where salt and light will always abide. When we are filled with His measure of salt, we will be ready at all times to spread His flavor of Love to help prevent the decay of a soul lost without Him.
Illumination
Light is such a force to be reckoned with, as it illuminates darkness and makes things visible. Light, literally chases away the darkness, and causes it to flee, for darkness cannot abide where there is light. There is no cohesion or alliance between light and darkness, nor a place to dwell in both. Jesus fills us with His light of love and He commissions us to shine that light for others to see the path that leads to Him and eternal life.
The light we shine by the life we live, testifies of the light the lives inside of us, while giving Glory to God from where it comes. Light is more of the substance that we are spreading one way or another in our daily, and times spent with God will fill us with the right measure needed. We live in a very dark world that desperately needs the light of God to shine and illuminate the goodness His presence brings!
What is Your Substance?
Salt and Light. . . what is your substance? Are you making a difference for those who come in contact with you daily? A smile, a kindness, a listening ear, a prayer, a provision . . . there are so many things which seasons the atmosphere for those we touch in both big and small ways. It doesn’t take much to show the love of God and to let His light shine forth to make a difference for someone else. If you have found yourself lacking, go to God and be filled again with His measure of salt and light, for He desires to see you walk in the power of His glory as a witness to the world.
