I have the power to become,
What I was not yesterday.
I have the power to become,
What God’s promises all say.
I have the power always within me,
To forget my downward past,
I have the power to overcome,
And make a difference that will last.
I have the power to recognize,
It’s not the miracles that I see,
I have the power to go forward,
Trusting the Miracle Worker inside of me.
I have the power to continue,
What was started long ago,
I have the power to become today,
What all my tomorrows soon will know.

Author’s Look ~
I hope that this is an encouraging word for someone today. It was written from a sermon preached by my church Bishop, Rev. Ron Becton, several years ago. He was encouraging us that day, to look up to where our help comes from. Reminding us to not be downward cast and let the enemy deceive our mind into thinking that we have a pre determined destiny, which we have no power to change. God is our help!!! He is our strong tower! He strengthens us from within to rise up to everything we can possibly be.
Stop looking around you. It’s not the miracles that you see that changes you, but more of what you cannot see . . .the faith inside of you. It is a resource to help you get up when you are down, and turn a negative decision or situation around. No matter where you are at today. You are not stuck there and you are not alone. The Miracle Worker is waiting for you to seek him for what is unseen, and believe that each step that you take forward, He will be there to meet you, walking right beside you.
We famously hear it all of the time, but still is so very true . . . I can do all things through him who give me strength.
Philippians 4:13 (NIV)
During this time in history, our lives have been turned upside down in so many ways. This pandemic has given pause to some who are considering more of what they want their tomorrows to see.
Go for it, and find the power inside of you . . . to BECOME!
