The one and only true God,
The only one deserving of our praise.
The glories of the heavens,
Only He created on display.
Miraculously stretched out by His hand,
Marvelous works only He could do.
He then spread forth the beauty of earth,
With unforgettable wonders there to view.
The people living, He made to dwell,
With breath only He could give.
Spirit was given into their souls,
For eternal life that they may live.
His glory will not go to another,
Graven images can’t provide,
Other “gods” we give our hearts to,
Will only leave us dead and dry.
For there is one and only true God,
The Lord, His almighty power left unscrolled.
Merits every bit of our worship,
With complete devotion of our soul.
Only He deserves it,
Lift His name up to the sky.
The great and mighty God, we praise you!

Author’s Look~
God only is worthy of all praise and glory! This was ringing in my heart as I returned from a trip to the mountains. There is something about nature that just spells it out so clearly. God did this!! How glorious and mighty He is!!! Nature sings His praises in its beauty and creativity, and leaves you in awe of a creator so majestic as He.
Isaiah 42:5&8 (KJV) . . .Thus saith the Lord, he that created the heavens and stretched them out, he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it: he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein. (8) I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
The Great Creator
The creation does not always understand and recognize the Creator. God did it ALL! He created the heavens, and stretched them out. . . think about that- just that; quite AMAZING. Next, He spread forth the earth . . . that takes some serious skills, but that’s not all . . .it included ALL that cometh out of the earth. . . ALL of it!!
That’s not all . . .He gave life when He gave breath to the people in it and Spirit to them walking around. He first created a beautiful place in which He gave life to live there, while making us spiritual beings to connect with him.
God Won’t Share His glory
The great Creator is very clear on one thing. He will not share His glory, for it belongs to NO OTHER! It’s that simple. He did all of this alone- God Only, and the praise of such a magnificent God will go to no other. Too many times we count God out and look to other “gods” in our life to fulfill us. We too quickly give our hearts away to other things that are not God. Our time and devotion can quirky pour into “gods” that have not and will not do anything for us. God says No to any praise or glory being given to another, and He stands firm on this. ONLY He is worthy! A graven image is a god who can do absolutely nothing, but almighty god can do ANYTHING!!
Bring on the Praise
Let your heart be filled today with the praises of our great and mighty God! Let your heart soar as you remember His power and strength, and all that He is capable of . . .everything. Then let your heart sing to the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings, for He is worthy! He is worthy!!
Remove anything that you have replaced God with in your life, be it people or activities. Monitor your devotion and make sure your heart is pointed towards the Lord. Let the praise of Him be continually on your lips, recognizing the great power that He dwells in. Don’t rob God of what He is so deserving of. Shout it from the rooftops, sing it in a song, whisper it in the calm, but let it never die out. There is power in recognizing and praising God for ALL that He is worthy of.
For He ONLY is the our Lord, the great and mighty king!
